EQUESTRIAN FELDENKRAIS AND COACHING
Refine your riding on and off the horse.
AWARENESS THROUGH MOVEMENT
Enhance your wellbeing in a group lesson.
The Feldenkrais Method®
What is Feldenkrais?
It is a movement education for people of all ages and physical conditions to explore easier and more efficient ways of moving.
How does it help?
The Feldenkrais Method® has many applications, including:
increasing vitality and wellbeing regardless of your age and physical condition;
increasing flexibility and coordination;
exploring ‘age-related’ movement issues;
exploring chronic pain;
mobility and movement rehabilitation; and
enhanced performance for athletes.
How is this done?
How is it different from other modalities?
A Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner (CFP®) will lead you through gentle and subtle movements that stimulate both mental awareness and the nervous system. This can take place either in an Awareness Through Movement® class (group lesson) or Functional Integration® (private lesson).
The Feldenkrais Method® is a form of education for the nervous system. The Method encourages individuals to develop greater self-awareness so that the nervous system can be stimulated to make subtle shifts in the orchestration of the body. In recognition that movement is unique to each of us, the Method does not directly coach an ‘ideal’ posture, but seeks to help individuals find easier, efficient and more effective ways of moving, resulting in less wear and tear.

about cherry
Cherry is a Certified Feldenkrais Practioner (CFP®), a member of the Australian Feldenkrais Guild and the International Feldenkrais Federation.
Originally from Japan, she grew up living, studying and working in many different countries. She retired from her senior executive role in the steel industry in 2011 to pursue her life long passion: breeding and training horses in Nana Glen, one of the most beautiful locations in the world. She has since attained her coach accreditation under Equestrian Australia and is currently the only active equestrian coach who holds a CFP® license.
She is not only keen to help fellow equestrians seek ease and harmony with their horses, but also ANYONE who would like to start their own amazing journey towards effortless movement.
Look forward to hearing from you!
